Contraindications

The safety of these treatments has not been established for those who are pregnant or nursing. - Pregnancy or Breastfeeding

Conditions such as cold sores, acne breakouts, or skin infections near the treatment area may increase the risk of complications. - Active Skin Infections or Inflammation

Conditions like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or scleroderma may increase the risk of adverse reactions. - Autoimmune Diseases

If you have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners (such as aspirin®, Advil®, Aleve®, or anticoagulants), you may be at higher risk for excessive bruising or bleeding. Consult your prescribing provider about stopping medication for short term.- Bleeding Disorders or Blood-Thinning Medications*

If you've recently undergone facial surgery, laser treatments, or chemical peels, your skin may need additional time to heal before receiving treatment. - Recent Facial Surgery or Laser Treatments

Those with a history of anaphylaxis or severe allergic reactions should consult their provider before treatment. - History of Severe Allergic Reactions (Anaphylaxis)
Neuromodulars

Neuromuscular Disorders – Conditions such as myasthenia gravis, ALS, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may increase the risk of muscle weakness and complications.

Allergy to neuromodulator Ingredients – If you have a known allergy to botulinum toxin or any ingredients in Botox®, you should not receive this treatment.

Recent neuromodulator Treatment – If you've recently had neuromodulators, additional injections may not be necessary and could increase the risk of complications.

Fillers

Allergy to Filler Ingredients – If you have a known allergy to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, or other filler components, this treatment may not be suitable for you.

Keloid or Hypertrophic Scarring – If you are prone to excessive scarring, fillers may increase the risk of unwanted scar formation.

Hylanex
-
Immediately after: you may experience Mild swelling, redness, or bruising is normal and should subside in a few days.
-
The filler typically dissolves within a few hours to a couple of days.
-
You may notice asymmetry or volume loss as the product breaks down — this is normal and temporary.
-
Follow-up treatment or re-injection can be scheduled 1–2 weeks after the dissolving session if desired.

Medical Weight Loss
